The Sinaloa and Rojas Cartels kidnapped Guðrún Jónsson, a 20-year-old blonde Icelandic girl, using a modeling charade. She was taken to a brutal "compliance facility" in Costa Rica and forced to become a house companion to ruthless Rojas Cartel boss, Diego Valesco, in Bogotá, Colombia.

The Sinaloa and Rojas Cartels frustrated authorities along the Texas and New Mexico southern borders with Fentanyl drug smuggling and human trafficking. The U.S. President asked Charles Johnson’s private intelligence organization, the Defense Foundation, along with Dr. Olga Romanov’s Wildfire Agency, to assist with intelligence gathering on the cartels. The mission became personal when the cartels attempted to assassinate Dr. Olga Romanov and Tran Le Trang at Charles Johnson’s ranch in New Mexico in retribution for their roles in killing former Rojas Cartel boss, Rafael Cortez. The botched assassination attempt resulted in the death of Charles’s grandmother.

The Leopard’s mole in the Rojas Cartel, Richardo Morales, informed her about the plight of Guðrún Jónsson, an intelligent girl with crucial knowledge of the cartels' worldwide trafficking operations. With the help of Colombian special operations helicopters, the Leopard’s Wildfire team rescued Guðrún. Recognizing her potential, Olga offered Guðrún the opportunity to join the Wildfire team. Eager for revenge and a sense of purpose, Guðrún accepted and began training to become an operative.

Charles Johnson, along with his ranch foreman, Carlos Padilla, joined Wildfire operatives on a fact-finding mission to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. They met with Carlos’s son, Juan Padilla, who had been working with the Sinaloa Cartel and informed the team about a café frequently used by the cartel for border crossing activities. While surveilling the café, Sinaloan Cartel members seized Wildfire operatives Jennifer James and Jonathan Williams. Jonathan was tortured and killed.

The Defense Foundation–Wildfire team successfully disrupted the cartels’ smuggling and human trafficking operations along the border, providing critical intelligence to the FBI. Jennifer James and Guðrún Jónsson were invited to observe an FBI rescue operation targeting a group of young women held captive in San Antonio, who were about to be sent to the Sinaloan compliance facility in Costa Rica. The rescue mission failed, resulting in the deaths of several FBI agents. However, during the chaos, Jennifer, Guðrún, and a rookie FBI agent, Jack Reynolds, managed to surprise and defeat the Sinaloan captors.

Richardo Morales further assisted the Wildfire team in dismantling the Cartel’s Costa Rican facility, where captive girls were beaten, raped, and brutally conditioned to comply with the cartel’s trafficking operations.

The Wildfire and Defense Foundation team investigated the cartels' finances and hunted down the principal cartel members, eliminating them one by one as they fled to Juárez, Baja California, and the Spanish Canary Islands.
